I read the Bible daily. Today, I was in the Book of Acts. Peter and John had just healed the lame man at the Temple, and the Sadducees, Jewish religious experts who did not believe in resurrection, confronted them for saying they healed the man because of the spiritual power granted them by the resurrected Jesus Christ.
The Sadducees feared Peter and John’s message undermined them and created a threat to their perceived authority and expertise. Instead of recognizing the miraculous healing of a lame man and considering what it meant, they sought to remove all opposition that conflicted with their own message, teaching, and authority.
Sound familiar?
Today’s MERC (managerial experts, ruling class) mimic those Sadducees from the early days of Christianity. They sense a rising threat to their entrenched positions of power. Just like those Sadducees who rebuked and physically punished Peter and John, today’s MERC plan to inflict punishment on any who won’t submit to their demands.
That’s us, Flyover Country.
How do I know this? I’ll post another item soon about something buried in the 2,700 page “Infrastructure” bill. In the meantime, watch the corporate media outlets, whether on TV, in print, or online. Did you hear, see, or read about Barry’s big bash this weekend? Around 500 MERC guests descended on Martha’s Vineyard, where they partied without masks over a weekend celebration.
A New York Times reporter went on CNN this weekend to explain that the MERC can celebrate Obama’s 60th without masks because it’s a “sophisticated and vaccinated crowd”. The 200 servers for the party had to be masked, though.
Translation: we’re better than you.
Their masks continue to slip (figuratively AND literally), and they feel no shame. They relish it. They want you to see them acting like it’s 2019 because they want a stratified society with them on top. See this tweet from a former NYPD detective:

We can complain all we want about the hypocrisy and double standards, but Flyover Country, I’m here to explain we have to come to grips with a new reality. They don’t care anymore if you see their hypocrisy and double standards precisely because they truly believe they’re better than us. The rules that apply to us, don’t apply to them. In essence, they’re asking “So, what are you going to do about it?”
They want you to see them enjoying life and escaping punishment for actual crimes (DUI and drugs) while Flyover Country gets punished for lesser “crimes”, like not masking in public or losing your job because you don’t want an experimental, unproven drug. They flaunt Hunter Biden’s videos of him smoking a crack pipe while he then proceeds to sell “art” anonymously for $500,000 per piece. “So, what are you going to do about it?”
It’s meant as a reminder that they make the rules. They don’t have to live by them, though. That’s for lesser people, like Flyover Country.
The MERC flaunt this and unless you comply with their mandates, their coercion, their passports, then you’re unsophisticated and dirty. You’re the modern-day equivalent of the Biblical Samaritans or lepers. They can’t come near you lest they become “unclean”. You must stay away from them and announce your presence loudly as “unclean” to enable the sophisticated, vaccinated crowd to avoid you. This is why the servers had to wear masks, to clearly identify them as the lepers the MERC view them as.
They deny decades of science about natural immunity for those that have already had COVID and recovered because this disrupts an ability to profit off vaccines, just as they suppress information that questions the efficacy of the vaccine or the potential long-term and/or harmful side effects. The MERC want everyone masked again because it identifies who is and who isn’t one of them. They frequently change the rules to keep you manipulated, off-balance, and scared.
They mock any well-informed Flyover Country resident who would dare question their belief system. Like the Sadducees, their power relies on a carefully constructed, yet fragile, set of beliefs, largely built on faith in those in charge (the MERC). They worship the authority of false idols like Anthony Fauci and seek to tear down anyone like Scott Atlas who undermines the accepted narrative. If too many people begin to question this faith or the authority of those spouting it, it threatens to collapse their whole world.
In your communities, I’m sure you’ve witnessed mayors, or city council, or city managers, or other bureaucrats channel their inner-dictator. The mayor in a nearby community to mine ensured that his business could stay open as “essential” while dictating which ones were non-essential. Most feared the consequences if they pushed back, like fines, legal fees, or forfeiture of permits and licenses, so they reluctantly complied.
But, I watched a few pushback. Boy, did it infuriate the MERC. They mocked, belittled, and threatened these small business owners that dared defy their orders. These few business owners called their bluff. And guess what?
They’re still in business.
In fact, you had people silently cheering them on and paying more frequent visits to these businesses specifically BECAUSE they didn’t bow to the irrational tyranny of these inconsistent rules. While local hall monitors would call the cops to try to harass and penalize these businesses, a greater number increased their support.
Historically, our community tended to be conservative, but it now trends more liberal – whether legitimately or through illegitimate means. They expected all residents to fold and comply, and their frustration when we didn’t demonstrates their concern. An independent, self-determining population represents a threat to their executive orders in the name of “public health”. Their world can only operate effectively without a Peter and John type threat to undermine it.
The MERC celebrate at Obama’s birthday bash because they foolishly believe they’ve won. I would imagine that most of the partygoers live in echo chambers. They’ve convinced themselves that their pandemic response and mandates have secured their power. Time to party! They ignore what’s happening beneath them in smaller communities like mine.
They do so at their own peril.
They celebrate now because they lack humility and self-awareness. They’re so secure in their belief that others will not defy them, that they mock us by their “sophisticated” MERC celebrations for one of their own. They’ve told us to mask up and cower in fear of the Delta variant, and like the hypocrites they are, they enjoy the finer things in life. They don’t expect any pushback because in their world, everyone agrees with them and tells them how smart and sophisticated they are.
The Sadducees once thought the same thing. They believed their crucifixion of Jesus secured their own authority and power. Months after this, when Peter and John healed the lame man, they were stunned and dumbfounded. The Sadducees, along with the rest of the Jewish High Council, noted the courage of Peter and John and realized they were unschooled, ordinary men. They were “unsophisticated”…kind of like Flyover Country residents.
This astonished them. They couldn’t dispute what happened because the lame man now stood in their midst as proof of the miracle Peter and John performed in the name of Jesus. They instructed them to stop spreading this message among the people, and they forbid them from speaking in Jesus’ name.
Of course, Peter and John refused, and Christianity spread.
In light of this Biblical message and the MERC’s celebrations, I ask, “so, what are you going to do about it?” It’s time for Flyover Country residents to channel their inner Peter and John and refuse to comply with the demands of this modern-day MERC high council.
Liberty and freedom will spread, if you do.
